Empowering Survivors: ABH Collaborates with SWIN to Uplift Abused Women

At Aryan Benevolent Home (ABH), we believe in creating safe spaces that not only shelter but also empower women who have experienced domestic violence. Our recent collaboration with Sharlene Pillay, a passionate advocate from SWIN (Supporting Women in Need), is a powerful example of how partnerships can create meaningful change.

🌼 A Voice for the Voiceless

Sharlene Pillay, known for her relentless work with SWIN, joined us at the ABH Victim Empowerment Centre (VEP) to share her knowledge and inspire survivors on their healing journey. Through storytelling, lived experience, and professional guidance, she gave hope to women who are working to rebuild their lives.

🧵 From Trauma to Transformation

The ABH VEP Centre doesn’t just offer shelter — it offers a way forward. Through hands-on skills development programmes like sewing and baking, survivors are empowered to:

  • Regain self-worth and emotional strength

  • Learn income-generating skills

  • Build confidence and independence

  • Break the cycle of dependence and abuse

Each session is a step toward not just recovery, but renewal.

🤝 The Power of Partnership

By joining hands with organisations like SWIN, ABH strengthens its mission to uplift vulnerable women in South Africa. Together, we are fostering environments of healing, learning, and lasting transformation.

💛 Join the Movement
